About

Working from my home studio just outside Belfast I have been designing and making jewellery for over 15 years. After originally studying graphic design at Belfast’s University of Ulster I became more interested in working with materials. Metal and glass were of particular interest and I was always in the library studying things that had nothing to do with graphic design. I love the hands on experience of tools and materials and have completed various courses in silversmithing techniques, but am mostly self taught.

All my jewellery pieces begin with a hand sculpted master model. I love making models and use a variety of techniques to achieve the shapes and textures I desire. The lost wax process is used to cast the pieces in silver. Most are then set with various gemstones, and may also be black oxidised or 18ct gold plated.
